Over 100,000 children in Kibera slum are orphans due to HIV/Aids.
Most of these children live under poverty and do not attend school. They are vulnerable to drug use, prostitution, rape, teenage pregnancy, criminal activity and school dropout. Mirror of Hope is a Community Based Organisation with a mission to enhance access to quality education, entrepreneurship and employment opportunities for vulnerable children, youth and women of Kibera.
We empower vulnerable children,youth and women living in Kibera Slum to transform and develop their capacity to contribute positively and earnestly towards their own development with education sponsorships, entrepreneural opportunities and life skills training.
Our vision is to create a community that is well informed, proactive, self-sustaining, respects human rights with enhanced access to education for the children, youth and women.
